Amazing and unique game! Congratulations.

By the way, once the game is finished, will it be for sale also here? I preffer to buy your game in itch.io than in steam.

(+1)

I plan to sell it on Itch too

Nice.

can you make it for psvr?

(+1)

I haven't looked into PSVR yet, but maybe in the far future

ok cool

Please someone tell me there is no spiders in this game beacause it looks amazing.

(+1)

No spiders :)

*Everybody loved that*

a tutorial walkthrough portal of all the mechanics would be a nice addition

A tutorial is planned

*Celebration*

A truly one of a kind vr game! I love the aesthetic and the controls feel like it really depends on your skills whether you will progress further into the dungeon.

The only thing that is unclear to me is how to use the inventory, I may have missed that information somewhere.

Also it might be fun to add a companion like a 'loot carrier' or a pet to get that dungeon raiding party' feeling and maybe even to use as inventory.

Works really well on the  oculus quest 2, great job so far! ;3

Thank you for the feedback. There is no real inventory in order to keep things simple, you do however have 2 inventory slots on your wrists (like in HL:Alyx), where you can put potions and food.

Well. since the game doesn't have a no VR Headset setting, I'll have to wait 'till I can afford one. The game looks awesome

Lovely style, great game. Each turn I take has me wondering what enemy I’ll encounter and how I’ll take them out. 10/10

(1 edit)

do I need vr goggles 2 play it or is there a no vr setting?

You need to have a VR headset in order to play the game

Playing with Quest and very impressed!  Lots of fun and I like that different rooms show up on different runs.

Is it easy to load on to the quest? I've been tempted to try it but thats what i have.

(1 edit)

really impressed with the game! This is feeling like a really polished experience and it's still early access. Good interface, gameplay, physics...
Looking forward to seeing it finished

I'd only recommend to add more movement options. My VR legs are strong, but smooth locomotion affects many people and this will make the game more accessible

(+1)

Thank you for the feedback. Teleportation movement is planned and will come soon :)

(+1)

Glad to hear that! I really wish my stomach could handle smooth locomotion, but it can't. Tried this for a few minutes on the Quest, and it was tremendous fun. Looking forward to being able to play for more than a few minutes!

One of the best VR game I played ! I love everyhting, the design, the gameplay, the physics, the weapon, the bonus, etc ! Can't wait for this game to be finished ! (But I will :p )

Will it be available on the oculus store, and if that's the case, will it be cross buy ? Or will I need a steam key to play on pc ?

this game is incredible, will buy it 1.0

I must congratulate you on such a great and immersive title. I wasn't expecting much and got so much out of the experience. Needless to say I will purchase this, as soon as it releases, come 1.0.

One very specific piece of feedback: For the titan potion, please implement some sort of player feedback. I think i drank it and didn't know it had applied the effect until after it was over

Thank you for the feedback, I'll put it on the todo list.

i need to know something before i download. can i play without VR

(+1)

no, its VR only

(+1)

sad

This is amazing! I do have a question though. Will you eventually add wmr controller support? I mean the vive controls work for it but it may be a better experience if your able to use joysticks as movment.

I plan on adding WMR support once I have my hands on a WMR headset

Amazing! Waiting for the final version.

Absolutely awesome dungeon crawler! I love Minecraft so I love the feel and style of this game. It gets so many things done right compared to GearVR or Vivecraft versions of Minecraft with how you move, interact, moving map, status screen and inventory. The throwing knives are a very fresh much needed VR weapon, tired of the overused Bow in most games. I am so impressed with the physics in this game. So much detail in interactable terrain. The tutorial information in the front was very clear and easy to understand. This really feels like a triple A title, I really hope this comes on the Quest as a standard sold game, would buy this in a heartbeat. The only thing I would request, please add a "Exit Game" somewhere, maybe in the beginning area after ending a run. I know you can use Oculus button to exit a game, but this feels more like a hard shutdown. So many games these days in VR are missing this one small minor feature. Also request Coop-Multiplayer support! :)

This game is really good,  the only thing that i think that could be better are the collisions, the knife specifically.

This game is awesome

I wish I knew how to develop a game like this

Can add more ways to interact with bodys and objects? like for example, throw a enemy at a enemy to stun them, and also add blocking attacks from enemies.

Can i play it on my vr cardboard and the controller are ipega, is it gonna work :(

I don't think it works with google cardboard

Oh ok thx, :(

(1 edit) (-2)

wish it were also availible to play on apple😢

(-1)

Epicgame wasn't respecting apple's rules,
banned.
Rules are Rules.

so i used a re-roll and I got re-rolled and everything from sounds to game play was very distorted i got scared and restarted (which fixed it) anyway great game 9/10

Amazing game! Knife can be a bit buggy when retrieving it, but otherwise spectacular all around!

(2 edits)

windows won't let me play. due to security scan

the issue is resovled

This game was so much fun! I tried it out on my Oculus Quest and had such a great time just throwing my knife around! The design of the game is great, it's not too easy and it's not too hard (at least the parts I tried). Enjoyed it so much, I dropped a $20 on it right away - gotta compensate all the hard work! Will buy again once its a full release on Steam! Great job developer(s)!

Can I play around with this on my Quest without plugging into my computer or is there something else that I need to do? (Still fairly noobish with VR.)

If you have sidequest you can download the experimental .apk and install it on your quest. Since the .apk is still buggy it can currently only be downloaded from the discord but once it is stable it will also be published here.

Thank you for the feedback!

Game mechanics look interesting but can't get past not having teleport locomotion. Nauseating to move around.

I don't have a vr headset but even just playing it on pc is quite fun, the first thing I did was press all the buttons on my keyboard and I ran into the console, you can imagine what I did.

Hi! Is there a place to get the quest version or is it not available yet?

You can download an early buggy experimental version on the discord if you want to try it out. Once the beta is out of experimental it will also be available here on itch.

I noticed there is a Quest version on your discord. Any Sidequest release coming up soon?

Yes, Sidequest release will be once Beta 0.6 is out of experimental!

Cool! Good to hear!

People probably already mentioned it, but throwing the knives is a little buggy. Can't seem to throw in front of me. Only sort of works when I throw it sideways. Tracking should be fine, just played zero caliber and throwing grenades was perfect.
The rest I really like, glad to be a backer.

Thank you for supporting the game!

I'm already working on improving the throwing mechanics for Oculus devices. It seems like they have the most problems with the throwing.

How do you play it? I downloaded it with the link above but I dont understand how do i start the game

IDK what headset you use, but with oculus you go to your desktop when it's on, then open the location where its downloaded and open it up. It should launch in your hmd when you do.

(1 edit)

is it you possible to download this to my oculus quest

Not yet, in a week or two there will be an .apk that you can install on your quest.

Two weeks passed :D

This game is amazing. It's exactly the sort of thing I've been waiting to play on VR!

Initial experience issues:

  • Couldn't figure out how to drink potions. Seems you should be able to drink them by putting to your mouth.
  • Couldn't figure out how to switch between sword and dagger. Perhaps pulling out the sword could be triggered by reaching over your shoulder?
  • I figured out how to grab things (grip buttons) but it took some experimenting. Perhaps that should be listed in the controls? I kept trying to hit trigger on the food thinking it would use it.
  • The enemies spawn with a cute little pop animation. Perhaps there should be a sound to accompany it?
  • When you break open jars sometimes the items drop too low to grab them very easily. Perhaps they could float into the air or be summoned to your hand by pressing the grip and pointing toward them.
  • Some of the jars and chests would occasionally spawn partially in walls or crates.
  • I would love to have the turning be only triggered by a button press and not a touch. I would spin just by accidentally resting my thumb.
  • I would prefer the movement speed be slowed down greatly, but that's just me.

Great work!! Looking forward to playing again!

Thank you for the feedback!

  • You need to pull of the cap in order to drink potions. Its also possible to just throw them on the ground next to your feet.
  • Pressing the menu button on the controller pulls out the sword. Trigger pulls out the knife. You can use them both at the same time.
  • Yup I want to add a tutorial that introduces you to the control scheme
  • Good idea!
  • I don't think any item that drops out of jars needs to be picked up. It gets done automatically (its only coins and keys)
  • That bug will be fixed in the next version
  • I can add that as an option

I hope this gets ported to the quest, would love to play it without any wires.

Quest support is planned!
